This is, as the saying goes, “a tough row to hoe.” To their credit, the model builder Creationists are not trying to paper over these difficulties but are aggressively seeking explanations of them. Nor do they deny or try to hide the fact that their belief system has its origin in the authority of the Bible. They do assert, however, that they can separate theology from science, and that they can argue against evolution and for creation strictly on nonbiblical grounds. As we have already mentioned, there is no guarantee that their efforts, however aggressive, will bear fruit in terms of viable explanations that can withstand the kind of rigorous scrutiny essential to science.
